IRIS and the Future Association for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development
Message of Peace for Community Development, the owner of the Iris e-store in the Future Association for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, implemented a dedicated training for the “Ajlouni Women’s Network of Products in Confronting Corona” on the basics of producing home food products and redeveloping product packaging to add a competitive advantage and finding electronic marketing means through the Iris Go store. Iris and the Jerash Women's Charitable Association
Message of Peace for Community Development and the Jerash Women’s Charitable Association signed a joint cooperation agreement under the slogan “Our future is in our hands” aiming to market women’s products through the free Iris online store to support local products, the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Jordan, without registration fees or commissions, which is self-managed by the beneficiaries. Which is owned by Message of Peace. The agreement also aims to develop small projects and create a heritage identity with a modern nature. A large number of women from Jerash Governorate will be targeted and training courses will be held and their skills related to detailing, sewing and design will be developed.
With the aim of empowering women and preparing them to enter the labor market, training workshops were held to improve the performance of the beneficiaries and develop their skills, where more than 250 women were trained on successful product presentation methods and how to take good photography to highlight the product’s uniqueness and repackage the products to be distinct and competitive in the local markets.
A skills development program was also provided to 350 women via direct or online communication to teach them how to use digital technology in the free Iris online store and display and upload products to the store. Providing such opportunities helps with sustainable economic growth, raising the standard of living, and moving towards work and job tasks that contribute to developing and creating skills that are adapted to the requirements of this stage and the need of the contracting labor market.
